Farmingville, NY – On Saturday December 22nd, Supervisor Edward P. Romaine honored John Colondona of Shirley Pet and Feed for the donations of pet food and supplies made to those residents of Brookhaven that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Shirley Pet and Feed is located just north of Mastic Beach, an area which was devastated by the October hurricane. Supervisor Romaine awarded Mr. Colondona with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Town Board for his service.
Supervisor Romaine said, “I commend John and everyone at Shirley Pet and Feed for the unique public service that they provided to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Despite bringing chaos and destruction to our communities, the storm brought out the best of our residents and led to numerous acts of compassion to show that our Town still stands together as one.”
Shirley Pet and Feed is located at 675 Montauk Highway in Shirley.
